UGC video campaigns

What is a UGC campaign?

A UGC campaign is creators making original short-form videos about your product, to a brief and in a set format, and posting them from their own accounts. UGC means user-generated content: videos that look and feel like the rest of the feed because real creators make them.

It is the other half of what we do. Clipping is for when you already have content, such as a podcast, a stream, music, a launch video or interviews, and creators cut it into short clips. UGC is for when you don't have the content yet, and creators make it for you.

UGC works best for apps, startups, consumer brands, AI tools and mobile games: products that are easy to show on camera in a few seconds. The Mischief app launch was a UGC campaign: 400+ creators made original AI text prank videos in one format, which reached 13,070,000 verified views and drove 20,000 user signups.

What you get

A managed UGC campaign, not a creator marketplace

We run the whole thing: casting the creators, the brief, the review and the reporting. You approve the plan and watch the numbers.

Creators cast to your brief

Name the creators you want and we will reach out to them. Or we match creators from our pool of 12,000+, or recruit outside it.

Every video matches the brief

One format, your rules. Every video is reviewed against the brief before it counts toward the campaign.

Built to convert and be seen

Bio links, hashtags and a call to action can be required on every video, so views have a route to your link.

Geo-location targeting

Creators are matched to the countries you want to reach, from large pools in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and Europe.

Views you can trust

Creator accounts are checked, and when creators are paid on views, only verified views count, screened for bots through Try Shoot.

Posted from creators' own accounts

Videos go out on hundreds of creators' TikTok, Reels and Shorts at once, so your product shows up from every direction.

Formats

Formats creators can make

Pick one format and go wide, or test a few to find the one that breaks out. Your brief sets the format.

  • ReactionA creator reacts to your product, a result or a moment it creates.
  • PrankThe product sets up the joke. The Mischief campaign ran on this format.
  • Tutorial or demoHow to do one thing with your product, in under a minute.
  • Before and afterThe problem, then the product, then the result.
  • StorytimeA creator tells a short story with your product in it.
  • POVA first-person scene viewers put themselves into.
  • VoiceoverA screen recording or b-roll with the creator talking over it.
  • Your own formatBring a format that already works for you and we brief it at volume.

Pricing

How creators are paid

You set one overall budget. You choose how it pays the creators, or leave the choice to us.

Pay models

Pick one, mix them, or leave it to us and we will recommend what fits your goal.

  • Per 1,000 verified views (CPM). Creators earn from the views their videos get, verified through Try Shoot. Best when you want reach.

  • Flat fee per video. A set amount for each video made and posted to the brief. Best when you want a known number of videos.

  • Milestone bonuses. Extra pay when a video passes a view milestone you set, so creators push for breakouts.

  • Case by case. Different terms for different creators, for example a creator you named on a fee and the wider pool on views.

  • Leave it to us. We recommend the model for your goal and budget on the strategy call.

One budget, agreed before launch

You set the overall campaign budget, and you are billed that budget plus one agency fee agreed before launch. No retainers or lock-ins.

  • From $1,500 total campaign budget

  • The budget goes to creators, paid the way you choose

  • Every video reviewed against the brief

  • A live analytics link

Clipping is for when you already have content, such as a podcast, a stream, music, a launch video or interviews: creators cut it into short clips. UGC is for when you don't have the content yet: creators make original videos about your product to a brief. If you have hours of footage, start with clipping; if you have a product to show, start with UGC.

Yes. Creators can make original UGC videos about the product while clippers cut your launch video, founder interviews or podcast into clips, in the same campaign. We plan the split with you on the strategy call.
